Peko-chan goes for a walk - March 25th 2020
This morning, the sun was shining very brightly through the living room window, so the cats decided to do what they always do when that happens: lay down on the floor and sun bathe! Peko-chan decided to join them. She said it was very nice, almost like being at the beach! A nice treat in winter!
In the evening, the host decided that since they had been cooped up inside for 4 days, she would take Peko-chan on her walk in her neighbourhood. They took a lot of pictures!
The Hull hospital (Hull is the name of the part of Gatineau that the host lives in)
A large daycare
An elderly residence
Peko-chan tought that it would be fun to stand in a bus shelter and pretend to wait for the bus.
This is an ad for the city of Gatineau. There are several of them all through the town. It says ``Gatineau for life``.
This is an ad for the local college.
The host showed Peko-chan a community book box that she likes to stop by on her way to work. Anyone can leave books in it, or take books.
The host found a funny book to bring home!
A very small park called ``Parc Saint-Benoît``. The population of Québec (the province of Canada where Gatineau is located) is traditionally catholic, so A LOT of places are named after catholic saints.
The sign behind Peko-chan says ``Treasure Hunt``.
Wintertime decorations
The Hull hospital all lit up, on the way back home
