Pinky's adventures in Moscow, Russia – November 2019
In October, while Tiny was on his way to Thailand, I received an email from Anastasia, in Moscow, who was offering to host him and even take him on a trip to the Maldives and Dubai! The only problem was that Tiny had to get to Moscow before December 4th. Since we weren't sure that he was going to make it on time, his little sister, Pinky, volunteered to jump into an envelope and be shipped immediately to Moscow! She was a good fit for her host there, too, as Nastya loves pink!
Pinky arrived in Moscow during the week of November 11th and immediately proceeded to visit the city and have a great time with her host!
Here's what I received from her host, Nastya (Telopho) :

"Hi! Pinky's adventure has begun! :)
Pinky's first place in Moscow was МГУ, or MSU - Moscow State
University, specifically - The first Humanities Building where my Chinese
classes take place. From here you can see the main building of MSU which was
build back in USSR. This university is named after Mikhail Lomonosov who lived
in 18 century. He was a very smart man, he studied Literature, Chemistry,
Science, History and many more... He was born in a family of peasants but wanted
to study so much that he walked across Russia by foot to reach Moscow and get a
proper education. MSU is the best university in Russia and one of the best ones
in the world. Many foreign students go there, especially Chinese students.
Well, my Chinese friend said it's much easier to go to a Russian university
than to Chinese one! It's not prestigious in China at all.
My mom and I have a lot of cooking magazines and books and
today we decided to try something new. We chose a Georgian salad! It was hard
to make... Pinky helped us! :) We really enjoyed the process and of course the
eating part! I was a bit afraid of trying it because the sauce was made out of
nuts and vinegar (I love nuts, the second ingredient terrified me...) but it
turned out amazing! We plan on more cooking adventures in the future which
Pinky can help us with :)"
