Tiny the travelling troll

On April 25th, since it was so nice and sunny outside, the host took Peko-chan and Supergirl on a long walk to explore the Lac-des-Fées ("fairies's lake") pathway near her home. It is several kilometers long and borders the Parc de la Gatineau, a huge wilderness park that covers a large part of Gatineau. On the way over to the pathway, Peko-chan and Supergirl posed for a picture on top of a fire hydrant, in front of a long-terme care centre for the elderly. They had a thought for these people, wishing them well, as they are being very affected by COVID-19 right now. Nearby, the girls admired a lawn decoration statue of the Virgin Mary : The host wanted to make a stop to check out the contents of a community book box, where people leave book for others to take. After the Easter weekend, the temperatures dropped a lot and it was very cold and windy for a couple of weeks. The host, Peko-chan and Supergirl spent most of their time inside, working (the host is working from home), doing crafts, watching TV and trying out new recipes. One day, when the host was cutting peppers, she decided that it would be fun to plant the seeds and see if anything would grow. So she did and after almost two weeks, little seedlings started to appear. Here's what they look like now (photo taken on April 24th). Peko-chan and Supergirl can't wait until it's warm enough to transplant them in a pot ouside and really see them grow! Then, on April 25th, the sun came out and it was very nice and warm outside, finally! The host took Peko-chan and Supergirl outside and took them around her house to show them the flowers that had started to grow, a lot of them from bulbs that she planted last Fall.
